This four-part series for Discovery Science utilized archaeology and cutting edge technology to uncover some of the biggest mysteries surrounding the secret network that helped enslaved people escape to freedom. Kerosene worked collaboratively with Attraction Media to build 3D recreations of lost historical sites, tunnels, communities and vessels used to obtain freedom. 

Maps that illustrate routes taken by Freedom Seekers were an important part of the graphics package, with a priority of ensuring accuracy between current day and past layouts of towns and state divisions. The intent for the broadcast design elements was to provide a dynamic animated title with strong, simple lower thirds, providing clear information while not detracting from the story. 

With such important subject matter our goal was to provide accurate CGI to amplify the stories, to work in synergy with the production team at Attraction Media and to provide beautiful graphics that met our client’s deadlines.
